Meet the 2019 Rural Clinical School Students

Spending a year in the Wheatbelt

12 March 2019

Terry

Four students have gained placement in the Wheatbelt as part of the 2019 Rural Clinical School program.

RCS WA has 14 locations across Western Australia including Northam.

Highly competitive, the program enables student doctors to engage with local communities and to develop them into graduate doctors that could handle any situation.

RCSWA graduates are four times more likely to be working in rural towns than students outside the program. It also helps to ease the burden due to the shortage of medical staff in some areas.

Our 2019 Wheatbelt students, Kaylin, Gerardo, Ken and Clare dropped into Triple M to speak about their experience so far.
