A man has been charged with firearm offences after pointing a replica handgun at a mother and her teenage daughter at Tuggerah Railway Station yesterday.
Just after 1.30pm, a woman and her 13-year-old daughter were walking towards the commuter carpark from Tuggerah Railway Station when they noticed a man sitting nearby.
The man was allegedly holding a black handgun pointed directly towards the young girl.
The two females quickly left the area and walked to their car and contacted police.
Officers arrived and searched the 38-year-old man and allegedly located a black replica firearm.
The man was arrested and taken to Wyong Police Station.
He was charged with armed with intent to commit indictable offence, possess unregistered/unauthorised pistol in a public place, and intimidation.
He was refused bail to appear at Wyong Local Court today.
