Today is Pancake Day or Shrove Tuesday
It is a day of indulgence and an opportunity to use all the ingredients in the pantry before the season of fasting for 40 days and 40 nights of the Lenten season before Easter.
There was the smell of freshly made pancakes wafting across Albany today with a number of outlets cooking up this yummy feast.
They can either be either made as a sweet or savoury
