West Coast's Elijah Hewett Could Be AFL's Smartest Draftee

Pick 14, Elijah Hewett jumped on board the West Coast Eagles this week and chats with Andrew "Embers" Embley and Katie Lamb on what he will bring to the team and his current studies.

“To be able to get my name pulled out by the Eagles…I  feel incredibly honoured,” Elijah said on the Rush Hour with Andrew Embley and Katie Lamb.

“I’ve got an ability to be able to play, you know, inside, break lines and burst from the stoppage.”

LISTEN:

Elijah also said, despite his main goal of playing in the AFL, he ensured he worked hard in high school to have a fallback option.

“I wanted to have a foot in both worlds…I was able to get early acceptance to UWA doing Business Law.”
