West Coast has bolstered its ruck stocks by picking up Keegan Brooksby.

Brooksby - who captained South Adelaide in the SANFL this year - will join the Eagles under the new rules that allow clubs to pre-select formerly listed players who have spent at least a year out of the league.

He will join the Eagles on December 1.

The 28-year-old played 14 games for Gold Coast between 2015 and 2017.

“Keegan is a physical ruckman who competes strongly around the ground,” West Coast list manager Brady Rawlings said.

“He adds more depth to our ruck department after the departure of Scott Lycett and the delayed start to the season for Nic Naitanui.”

Brooksby averaged 15 disposals and 35 hit outs a game for South Adelaide in the SANFL in 2017.
