There are some devastated women around Ipswich today, with news the Brides Two Be store has been ruined in a fire overnight.

Fire crews were called to the shop on Brisbane street just after midnight, after an electrical fault sparked the blaze.

At least 180 dresses have been ruined in the store, which only opened in January.

Speaking to Channel 9, store owner Chris Stuart said he is devastated.

"We put everything into this business and now it's gone. I don't know what I'm going to do."

Stuart hopes he'll be able to rebuild.

"We have to, we've got customers relying on dresses that we've ordered for them. (We've got to) turn up and go."

As for the store's existing customers, Stuart says he'll be re-ordering dresses for them ASAP.

"We will replace the dresses we've lost for brides who've bought dresses and others who had dresses on layby, I will re-order those."
