Triple M's Gorden Tallis has come out swinging in defence of Queensland halfback Ben Hunt.

Hunt has copped the brunt of the criticism after the Maroons lost just their second series in 13 years. 

However, Tallis has backed the under siege halfback calling for Queenslanders not to throw Hunt under the bus.
