Gamers have launched a massive shoey protest at an eSports event after members of the crowd were kicking out for doing shoeys.

The Intel Extreme Masters stopped in Sydney on Saturday to play Counter Strike: Global Offensive for a lazy $100,000 prize.

After some rowdiness last year, the event put a shoey ban in place this year.

It only made things worse.

As fans were kicked out for doing shoeys, the crowd got event more animated, eventually culminating in shoes being raised throughout the entire arena.

Long live the shoey.
