Melbourne have probably been tougher on their own fans over the years than any other side.
Last year they missed out on the finals by percentage, and they’ve missed both AFLW grand finals by percentage as well.
The trend looks like continuing this year, with Max Gawn missing what looked like a certain goal with 30 seconds to play to condemn them to a 14.13 (97) to 13.16 (94) loss to Geelong at the MCG.
It was all too much for a Dees fan in a Sydney pub, who couldn’t cop more heartbreak.
