Wagga residents now have a chance to vote on their preferred name for the Wagga Wagga Rural Referral Hospital, with a Murrumbidgee Local Health District community survey now open, to finalise the name.
Formerly known as Wagga Wagga Base Hospital, the name of the facility was changed when it was redeveloped in 2015, to reflect the role of the new hospital, but it has caused some controversy.
The Survey gives locals three options, Wagga Wagga Hospital, Wagga Wagga Base Hospital or Wagga Wagga Rural Referral Hospital, the survey can be accessed here.
