Van Ploughs Into Crowds On London Bridge

There Has Also Been A Stabbing Attack

London is in lockdown.

Police have now confirmed multiple deaths, after a van travelling at about 90 kilometers an hour ploughed into pedestrians on London Bridge on Saturday night.

There are also reports a of a stabbing attack, it's believed the people within the van got out and started stabbing people at random with a hunting knife.

A witness told the BBC she saw a speeding white van veering into pedestrians, hitting a number of people.

There are reports of bodies on the street at the Borough Market.

It is a busy Saturday night in London, with the suspects still on the loose.

Foreign Minister Julie Bishop says there are no indications any Australians were caught up in the attack.



Police say they are dealing with an incident on the bridge but gave no further details.



London's transport authority said London Bridge rail station had been closed at the request of the police.
