Some members of the AFL's commission reportedly wanted Jaidyn Stephenson banned for life after revealing he had bet on AFL games he was taking part in.

Collingwood Football Club young gun forward Stephenson was yesterday banned for 22 games (12 of which were suspended) and whacked with a $20,000 fine after it was revealed he self-reposed after outlaying three bets on Collingwood games, totalling $36.

However speaking on Triple M Adelaide this morning, Chris Dittmar revealed that two AFL commissioners where pushing for a life ban for Stephenson.
