A total fire ban has been declared for the Southern Slopes, with severe fire conditions expected in the Cootamundra, Gundagai, Tumut, Tumbarumba, Young, Harden and Boorowa areas.
It means locals and visitors are banned from lighting any fires in the open, and residents are advised to make sure they’re familiar with their Bushfire Survival Plan, and stay up to date.
If you see an unattended fire, report it to Triple Zero immediately.
