"I can report this morning that Carlton president Mark LoGiudice will announce that he’s stepping down as the Blues president at the end of the year as Carlton president, after 12 years on the board and eight years as as president," Browne said.

"Some of his key achievements will obviously be the AFLW initiative, the development of Ikon Park, also a very stable board that’s got a whole bunch of skills on it, they all bring different things to the table."

Browne said that the transition to the next president will be smooth.

"I think it’s an orderly transition, that I believe will see Luke Sayers, who’s a senior accountant and prominent businessman, take over, Luke Sayers, as Carlton president at the end of the year," he said.

"This is a smooth transition, I believe there was a board meeting earlier this week."
