Hot Breakfast chief footy reporter Tom Browne says that St Kilda half-back Dylan Roberton’s “wonkiness” in the JLT Series game on Sunday was due to his ongoing heart condition.

“In terms of Roberton, he’s had another heart turn [and] he’s felt a bit “wonky”, were (Saints coach) Alan Richardson’s words in Ballarat on Sunday,” Browne said.

“He’s had some tests and I understand the Saints now believe that wonkiness was related to his underlying heart problem.

“Cardiologists and doctors [are] now working very closely on working out essentially whether Dylan — who’s an absolute beauty — can play… it’s a very, very serious issue.”

Roberton collapsed in a game against Geelong at Kardinia Park in round four last year, and missed the rest of the season after the heart condition was discovered.

The 27-year-old has played 91 games for the Saints since coming across from Freo, where he played 37 games, in the 2012 off-season.
