Australian captain Tim Paine has reportedly fractured his right thumb.
Cricket Australia has confirmed that Paine has sustained the injury via Twitter.
Paine is not out overnight and will continue his innings today.
He is expected to take the gloves again in the second innings despite sustaining the injury.
Paine copped a nasty blow to the thumb yesterday while standing up to the stumps to paceman Chadd Sayers that caused him plenty of discomfort.
