Collingwood midfielder Tim Broomhead has badly broken his leg in the game against GWS at the MCG.

Broomhead was trying to soccer a goal when he kicked the goalpost and broke his left leg.

He was in severe pain and had to be stretchered off.

Emergency services tended to him on the ground.

“He’s been put into the ambulance and taken away with a broken leg,” Triple M boundary rider Michael Roberts said.

“Very high up, just underneath the kneecap, buckled right in, in tears, a lot of pain, on the green stick.”

Watch the vision here, but be warned — it’s very graphic.

The Pies are trailing GWS 4.0 (24) to 3.2 (20) with four minutes to play in the first term.
