It's a sea of blue at Toowoomba, west of Brisbane, today, as the community stops to farewell Senior Constable Brett Forte, 10 days after he was killed in the line of duty.
41 year old Senior Constable Forte was killed last Monday, after wanted criminal Rick Maddison gunned him down after he evaded police at a traffic stop in the Lockyer Valley.
Maddison was killed in a shootout with Forte's colleagues, following a 21 hour siege.
An officer of 15 years, Sen Const Forte leaves behind his police officer wife Susan and their three young children - Emma, Brodie and Sam.
