These Are The 25 Most Common Passwords

Time to reset?

9 October 2017

The Australian Government's Stay Smart Online campaign has posted a report by SplashData of the 25 most common passwords.

In an effort to encourage people to be vigilant and exercise cyber safety, the following list has been published to demonstrate how important it is that imaginative passwords are implemented for online accounts.

It is recommended that users avoid predictable words, sequential numbers and personal information, as all of this amounts to a weak password.

The data was sourced from the data leaks that have recently occurred across the world, with over five million people affected by these security breaches.
