Apple are reportedly looking into claims that there have been incidences of the new iPhone 8 "splitting".
A tweet by @Magokoro0511 last week showing their iPhone8Plus upon receipt of the phone has gone viral, and Apple have been forced to respond.
Their second tweet, translated from their native Japanese, suggests that "Apple would soon recover and come!", which we assume means that Apple will replace the damaged unit.
Reports online suggest that there have only been a couple of reports of the problem, which Apple believes is caused by a swelling of the battery, and does not pose a safety concern.
It remains to be seen whether more incidences arise.
