Every man and his dog have their opinion on what the NRL should do about head-high tackling. Now a new voice has entered the throng and it’s come from a surprisingly sensible place.
Former revered referee Bill Harrigan has offered a solution that would see all tackling performed below the nipple-line, thus vastly decreasing the risk of head-high contact.
This morning on The Big Breakfast with Marto and Margaux host Greg Martin teed off on the ten-time Grand Final referee’s proposal.
“So, every jersey now will have to have your nipples drawn on the outside with a dotted line!” Martin joked.
