The little master Gary Ablett is playing his 300th game against North Melbourne at Metricon Stadium at the moment, and is dominating in typical Gaz fashion.

He has 18 touches midway through the second term, with three marks, two clearances, three tackles, two inside 50s and 0.1 to go with it.

To commemorate the occasion, celebrated Twitter footy statistician Sir Swamp Thing has unearthed a very cool stat that highlights a piece of history that Gaz shares with Mr Football himself, Ted Whitten.

A very neat tribute to two genuine greats of the game.

The Suns are turning on the style for Gaz’s 300th, leading North 11.5 (71) to 4.8 (32) at half time.
