Round 16 was a horror show for the Queensland Maroons with both captain Greg Inglis and young superstar Kalyn Ponga suffering injuries that would ultimately rule them out of Origin III.
The round also included, Manly producing a huge upset over the Panthers winning at Penrith Park for the first time since 2011 and also saw the 'feud' between Cooper Cronk and Cameron Smith become public for the first time.
However according to Triple M's Mark Geyer, the one of the major takeaways from round 16, was the Rabbitohs ability to win ugly further confirming their premiership credentials.
