'Two blokes going hard at the footy'

Adelaide captain Taylor Walker couldn’t resist giving his old team mate Patrick Dangerfield a cheeky clip after the Crows’ big preliminary final win over the Cats last night.

Speaking on the Saturday Rub, Tex suggested Dangerfield played up the impact of Rory Sloane’s huge hit on him in the second quarter.

“It was like someone who was doing a roof climb snipered him,” Tex said of Dangerfield’s reaction to the hit, where he lay on the back on the turf for several seconds before being helped off by trainers.

“That was just two blokes going bloody hard at the footy and I loved it… we probably know who’s the tougher out of [those two] don’t we?”

Tex also doesn’t expect any Match Review Panel recriminations for Sloane.

“Why wouldn’t he be [playing in the Grand Final next week]?” Tex said in response to Damo’s question.

The Crows take on either Richmond or GWS in next Saturday’s grand final depending on the result of today’s match.
