Adelaide skipper Taylor Walker has been cleared of his misconduct charge.

Walker was cleared at a swift tribunal session on Tuesday night.

He was initially charged with misconduct against West Coast's Luke Shuey, retaliating during their clash on the weekend and hitting him in the chest.

Walker's defence argued the bar for misconduct was being set too low for an incident such as this.

He was to be fined $1500 if found guilty.
