Telstra has confirmed it will axe 1,400 Australian workers.
Telstra will shed around 1400 employees from its workforce.
The Telco is desperately trying to keep up with competition as it announces a 1 billion dollar cost cutting exercise.
Telstra had already slashed its workforce in the last year, which means over 2, 500 people have lost their jobs in just over a year at the company.
All divisions are affected, with the company meeting with Union representatives on Wednesday.
Some people are taking to social media to vent their frustration.
