The humble tinnie is finally copping an event so everyone can show their appreciation.
One of northern Melbourne's favourite jaunts, Welcome To Thornbury, is throwing a 'Tinnie Appreciation Day' this Saturday.
The Northcote based collection of food trucks have promised a ripper day with a variety of locally brewed craft beer tinnies on sale, a 'Tinnie-lympics' run between brewers, and a dedicated tinnie bar, not often seen outside of your local footy club.
As always there'll be a collection of food trucks for you to get your snack on, including: Mr Burger, Super Taco, Sparrow's Philly Cheeseteaks, and Jimmy Grants.
As always it's free to attend and you can bring your doggo along too.
