Shark Warning Remains Near Denmark

Whale Carcass Removed

24 July 2017

A shark warning remains in place for Peaceful Bay despite the whale carcass being removed from the area.

The initial warning was put in place Sunday afternoon by authorities when the carcass was first sighted off the coast.

While it has now been removed, authorities warn that residue could still attract sharks.

People are being asked to adhere to the beach closure signs put up by the local government rangers and Surf Life Saving.

If you do see a shark, you should call 9442 8600.
