Former AFL star Shannon Grant has been spared jail on appeal for repeatedly assaulting a woman, including stomping on her bare foot.
The 41-year-old Norm Smith medallist previously pleaded guilty to three alcohol-fuelled assaults and other charges against the woman over a six-month period in 2017 and 2018.
Grant was jailed for six months in June by a magistrate but immediately appealed.
On Tuesday County Court Judge Susan Cohen re-sentenced him to a two-year community corrections order with 200 hours of unpaid community work.
