GWS ruckman Shane Mumford announced his retirement this afternoon but his time at the Giants isn't done just yet.

Mummy will stay on as a part-time ruck coach for next season.

He will fill the void left by Dean Brogan in the role.

Mumford will mentor the Giants rucks stocks of Rory Lobb, Dawson Simpson and Matthew Flynn.

Mumford is excited about the next phase of his career.

“I’m excited about the next stage of my life and continuing to help the GIANTS in a role I’m really looking forward to," Mumford said.
