More than 800 students starting their studies at CSU in Wagga this week are being put through a compulsory program designed to drive down instances of sexual assault.

The 'Playing Right' initiative comes off the back of stats from the Human Rights Commission, which last year revealed that more than half of uni students surveyed had been sexually harassed.

Director of Residence life at the Wagga campus, David Griffin, says it’s about understanding the law, understanding what consent means, and how to have conversations about it.
