Second Half Of Geelong v Box Hill VFL Game Delayed In Bizarre Circumstances

Weird!

6 May 2017

The start of the second half of the Geelong v Box Hill match in the VFL at Simonds Stadium was delayed by a rogue siren today.

The two sides couldn’t take the field after half time as the siren was continually sounding.

They eventually managed to get the siren off and get the teams out there after what was surely a gruelling 10 or so minutes.

There was no change to the length of the quarters, with the start of the Cats women’s team’s match having to be pushed back by 15 minutes.

The Hawks lead the Cats 7.6 (48) to 6.3 (39) in the third quarter.
