It might come as a bit of a surprise, but Collingwood’s leading active goalkicker heading into the 2018 season is star midfielder Scott Pendlebury.

That title is usually associated with big key forwards, but with Travis Cloke leaving the club a few years back, the brilliant Magpies captain has bucked the trend.

Pendlebury, who debuted in 2006, has booted 157 goals for the Magpies from 252 games.

Fellow premiership star Steele Sidebottom is next on the pecking order with 139, followed by Jamie Elliott (138) and Alex Fasolo (133).

Chris Mayne (198) and Daniel Wells (161) have both kicked more career goals than Pendlebury, but the vast majority of them were scored with their former teams Fremantle and North Melbourne respectively.

Pendlebury is also currently ranked 11th on Collingwood’s all-time games played list, but he has the potential to catapult himself into the top four by the end of next season.
