Education Minister Rob Stokes in the area yesterday announcing new classrooms for Lake Cathie public school, and a Police Citizens Youth Club proposal for the Hastings College.
A memorandum of understanding was signed to make use of an under-utilised piece of school ground, for a PCYC featuring a centre of sporting excellence.
It'll also see police able to work more closely with our youth.
Mr Stokes meantime says extensive builds will be conducted at the evergrowing Lake Cathie school.
Among upgrades will be 17 new classrooms built, coming from the latest budget after needs escalated with huge leaps in enrollment.
