Souths star Sam Burgess is slated to return from injury in Round 17 after the bye next week, according to the Daily Telegraph.
Burgess was a late scratching from the Rabbitohs' clash with the Titans on Friday night, with a glute injury picked up at training on Tuesday causing him some trouble.
Luckily for Souths, the 19-day turnaround will give Burgess the best chance of recovery.
“It’s disappointing, I’ve got a little strain in my glute,” Burgess told Fox Sports.
“I’ve never had a strain before. It’s a strange feeling. I did it at training on Tuesday. I tried to run (Thursday) and had no chance really.
“I should be back after the bye, for sure. I was pushing for (Friday) but I had no power.”
