From the hit broadway musical that features the classic 80's hits "We Built This City" and "The Final Countdown" will bring its rock and roll vibes to Mackay next month.
After a successful season heating up the stage with the broadway likes of "Wicked" and "Jesus Christ Superstar", the Mackey Musical Comedy Players will take on the energetic tribute and top ballads of this Tony Award winning show.
Set in 1987 Los Angeles, Rock of Ages tells the story of Drew and Sherrie - two young people chasing their dreams in the big city.
Sherrie is played by Amber Clark, owner of Creative Performing Arts Studio who will appear alongside Dean Salty as 'Drew' who has performed as leading roles in Grease and Hairspray.
Mackay Musical Comedy Players will present 'Rock of ages' on Friday 18 May, 8pm and Saturday 19 May at 2pm and 8pm.
