New Zealand born, Aussie fighter Rob Whittaker has successful won his bout with rival Yoel Romero during the headline act of UFC 225.

In a brutal bout, Whittaker dominated the opening two rounds but Romero's toughness and one-punch power got better as the fight when on.

However, Whittaker battled through to win and claimed after the fight he broke his hand in the first round.

Earlier in the night, fellow Aussie Tai Tuivasa scored the biggest win of his career over veteran Andrei Arlovski by unanimous decision and celebrated with not one ... but two shoeys!

Tuivasa's record now improves to 8-0 and will move into the top 10 rankings of the heavyweight decision.
