Regional Development Australia Riverina has welcomed an announcement from Minister for Regional Development, Fiona Nash, that funding for the RDA network will continue through to 2020.
The news as quashed rumours that RDAs were facing extinction, also outlining a number of changes designed to better enable Committees and communities to harness economic opportunity, following a review.
The news has been welcomed by Regional Development Australia Riverina Chair Diana Gibbs, who says it’s provided the group with an assurance that their role is valued, and confidence that they’re heading in the right direction.
