Mid July marks a momentous day for INXS fans each year, as it was July 13, 1991, that INXS headlined the mighty Wembley Stadium and played to a sold out English audience of 74,000 punters.

This is arguably the most famous moment from the show... the second track from the set, New Sensation, performed 27 years ago this month.

That mosh pit!

Trawling around the 'net, we found this... super rare footage of Michael Hutchence talking about the time Queen fans were pelting INXS with all sorts of stuff when they supported Queen on the very same Wembley stage only 5 years before.

You can't help but picture it:

"We had a lot of things thrown at us because Queen fans are so into Queen"

- Michael Hutchence

Indeed, this all led to an old interview Sydney's The Grill Team had with guitarist Tim Farriss when the INXS TV show was hitting the small screens here in Oz, and Tim too recounts a pretty awesome moment he shared with two of the late greats, Freddie Mercury and Michael Hutchence.

The whole interview is worth the price of admission, but Tim speaks about the special Freddie and Michael moment at the 2:28 mark.

For many though, INXS ultimately proved that Aussies could rock Wembley as good as anyone, despite the pelting from Queen fans back in the day.
