After shooting to cult status the film helped to launch the careers of Eric Bana, Michael Caton and Steven Curry.
One of the most quoted characters from the film was Daryl Kerrigan's neighbour Farouk who was played by Costas Kilias.
Instead of testing his luck in Hollywood, Kilias has been working in Melbourne as a criminal barrister and was spotted last night during the 9 News after representing his client in court.
