While there are no locally acquired cases detected in Queensland overnight, new exposure sites have been detected.
The exposure sites come after it was revealed a Queensland woman had travelled from Melbourne to the Sunshine Coast after spending time at a known exposure site.
The uni student in her 20's tested positive to the virus after travelling from Melbourne to the Sunshine Coast visiting Mareeba, Cairns, Sunshine Coast and Brisbane.
According to acting Premier Steven Miles, the woman was infectious while out in the community from July 15 to July 17, with majority of her time spent out on the Sunshine Coast.
The woman is said to have travelled from Melbourne on July 13th to Maroochydore when she received a health alert stating she had visited an exposure site just days before on July 10th.
It has been revealed that the woman has the highly contagious Delta variant.
