It's a big week for the shooting community in Townsville this week.
The Townsville Marksmen Rifle Club is currently hosting the 2018 North Queensland Rifle Association annual Queens shooting events until this Sunday.
This comp is being hosted at the Hervey's Range Shooting Complex on Hervey's Range Road with local, and national men and women athletes competing.
Events across the week will see competitors aiming for targets that are anyway from 500m up to 900m away.
Many of the competitors will be camping in chilly conditions at the complex across the week.
