Plane Carrying A Brazilian Soccer Team Crashes In Colombia

A plane carrying 72 passengers, including a contingent of Brazilian soccer team Chapecoense, has crashed over Colombia.

Colombian authorities are responding to the emergency after the flight crashed on its way to Medellin's International Airport.

Medellin’s Mayor Federico Gutierrez has told reporters it is possible there are survivors.

“It’s a tragedy of huge proportions,” Gutierrez said.

It is unknown at this stage the cause of the crash.
