An experienced pilot has died after the ultralight plane he was flying crashed north of Laidley yesterday.
The accident happened around 5:14pm, the home-made aircraft crashed into a paddock on Old Laidley-Forest Hill Rd.
The 84-year-old man was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Police said there are multiple factors which could have caused the sudden crash, which is under investigation.
