One person has died in a two-vehicle collision on the Gocup Road just north of Tumut over the weekend, with another airlifted to Canberra hospital in a serious condition.
Officers say the two vehicles collided at around 8.40am yesterday, approximately 10 kilometres north of Tumut, the driver of one of the vehicles died at the scene, the person airlifted was a passenger.
The driver of the other vehicle suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to Wagga Base Hospital for mandatory tests.
