New Zealand authorities have confirmed that Australia's Deputy Prime Minister Barnaby Joyce is also a dual citizen, following Mr Joyce's revelation in Parliament regarding the matter.
According to couriermail.com.au, NZ's Internal Affairs Minister Peter Dunne confirmed Mr Joyce's citizenship with regard to the Citizenship Act of 1948.
There remains contention about whether Mr Joyce should be allowed to participate in legislation voting until his eligibility has been confirmed by the High Court.
