NSW Records 105 COVID-19 Cases Of Community Transmission & 1 Death On Sunday

New South Wales has recorded 105 COVID-19 cases of community transmission on Sunday, with 27 of those infectious in the community.

There are 76 people in hospital, 18 people in intensive care and 7 on ventilators. There were 240 infringement notices issued across the state in the past 24 hours.

A woman in her nineties from Sydney's South West has died after contracting the virus, bringing the total number of deaths since the start of the outbreak to 4. 

Meantime, the list of authorised workers who can leave the three tightly lockdown areas of Fairfield, Canterbury-Bankstown and Liverpool has been broadened overnight.

The updated list includes teachers, food industry workers, delivery drivers and more.

Non-essential retail across Greater Sydney has been closed and construction is to be paused from midnight.
