According to Health Minister Brad Hazzard many people displaying symptoms were not coming forward for testing out of fear they would lose work.
"I say to those people, the federal government and the state government have put up economic packages, there is also lots of other support for you," he said.
"Please, please, please, do not run the risk of dying."
The main areas of concern across NSW are still Sydney's west and south west with a majority the latest infections coming from these areas.
Problem suburbs within these areas include Greenacre, Auburn, Punchbowl, Liverpool and more.
The Health Minister went on to reenforce mandatory mask requirements addressing Tony Abbott receiving a fine of $500 yesterday for refusing to wear a mask.
“It does not matter who you are, whatever station you have in life, there are orders. Nobody likes to have these orders but it is to keep everybody safe and I hope people will comply with the orders," he said.
Mr Abbott was fined by police for breaching the public health orders while walking down Manly Beach Promenade.
NSW has now seen 77 percent of the eligible population receive their first dose and 44.5 percent having received their second dose.
