While the official results are still to be confirmed, the Nationals have claimed victory with Gurmesh Singh in Coffs Harbour.
The win makes history with Mr Singh the first person ever from the Sikh community to be elected to Parliament.

Retiring Coffs Harbour MP Andrew Fraser is confident that Gurmesh Singh will successfully secure the seat.
In a breif chat this evening he told Triple M of the vile, nasty comments made today by one of the Labor volunteers about his personal life.

John Barilaro looks to also retain his seat of Monaro.
Melinda Pavey has retained her seat of Oxley in the NSW election.
Eyes are closely watching Coffs Harbour.
Some media outlets are calling a victory for the Nationals’ Gurmesh Singh based on a two party preferred with Tony Judge from Country Labor.
