Triple M and the Australian's Brent Read has reported that a salary cap agreement has been reached for 2018 by the NRL clubs.

According to Ready, the figure is at $9.4 million, including a discretionary $200,000 development fee for the veterans and development player's allowance.

The agreement will be put to the players on Monday, with the RLPA yet to sign off on the deal.

It has been reported that the Bulldogs were pushing for a $9.6 million cap, and CEO Ray Dib would not comment when asked whether the club will be forced to shed players.
